Tuesday night out...

The past few weeks have been nothing but full of stress, homework, studying and exams! Tuesday I took my last exam until after Spring break! Until I leave for Spring break I plan on trying to start studying ahead of time for classes since I won't be over Spring break, starting papers due later this month, relaxing, and catching up on sleep....finally!
Sooo, since Tuesday at 1o'clock was the first time in weeks I felt relieved and stress free, my roommate, myself, and some other stressed out nursing major friends decided to live a little and go out on a Tuesday. For the past few weeks lots of Stevenson students have been going to a college night in Fed Hill. Nearly, every week I get several texts asking if I'm coming out and every week they receive the same response "Sorry :( I can't this week I gotta study... Have fun though!". But not this week.
Fed Hill is kind of a hike from Stevenson, so the big group of us that went decided to take the metro there, because SUPPOSEDLY the metro stop was only a few minutes away, and then split a cab back because if we had enough people it wouldn't be that expensive.
I don't think anyone has taken the Baltimore Metro and has had a normal experience, am i right? We certainly met a few 'characters' and made a few friends that helped us out when we got off at our stop. Little did we know, the metro stop being only 'a few minutes away', turned out being only a few miles away and more like 20 minutes away. Thank goodness we were with a big group of people and several guys, because walking the streets of Baltimore at 11:30 at night is just a tad sketchy. After FINALLY arriving, the hassle of getting there seemed all worth it! Everyone had a fun time and forgot all about the stress of school or the havoc of getting there. However, getting there seemed easy when it came to deciding how to get back.
We were in a group of apart 8 and no van taxi services were coming by, so instead we had to pawn a few people off to different car pools and get a car taxi. The taxi driver was reckless, and probably one of the worst drivers! However, he cut us a big break by only charging a flat rate instead of running the meter. The ride back only got worse when we discovered not everyone had cash, so instead of splitting the cost equally a few of us ending up paying a lot more then we wanted. Buttt, we returned safely and at a reasonable hour so thats all that mattered.
So...this blog probably just seems like its all complaining about this crazy night out; while I can not deny the night was a lot more stressful than I had planned, the night was crazy and everyone had a blast!
